One Thing
D. Adler
Mary was the vessel

Jesus was the seed

She was only human

He was God indeed.

She was called to bear Him

He was called to save

She made her delivery

In a lowly cave.

Soon her task was over

He’d grown to be a man

Then His work was started

According to God’s plan.

One day He was punished

Upon a cross of wood

Although He’d never done

A thing that wasn’t good.

Later when He’d risen

Christ had filled His mission;

That’s when He gave to us

A task we often shun.

"Go ye out from Eden

Into all the world;

Tell of my salvation

Wherever man is hurled.

Let the little children

Know that God can save

Get ye up; go tell it:

The end is not the grave."

There’s a home in heaven

It’s waiting just for you

If you want to use it

One thing you must do:

"Believe on the Lord Jesus

and thou shalt be saved..."*

*Acts 16:31
